FAILURE TO ATTEND TRAINING APPOINTMENTS

NWSS helps employees keep up with mandatory training certificates by making bookings with our trainer, Medecs.

Even though we inform employees of their training appointments there are some who miss the appointments that still must be paid for.

The policy from now on will be:

If an employee misses a booked mandatory training appointment without at least 48 hours’ notice and written details showing why they cannot attend, they will have to pay for the replacement appointment themselves.  

Failure to pay for and attend the follow up appointment will mean suspension until the certificate is obtained.

Employees will be able to give NWSS permission to deduct the payment from their pay in full or in instalments.
